I went to the "Reykjavík Flea Market" (Kolaportið) to buy really ridiculous sunglasses that I wanted and walking around with my mom and her sister, I found friggin NEW ROCK SHOES!! IN MY SIZE!! I never find shoes in my size in Kolaportið! Not since like.. 2003 or something. So I got the shoes for 5000 ISK which isssss.. (according to the Kaupþing website) around $40.

The woman who was selling them told me that her husband had bought it in Holland some years ago cause he totally fell in love with them but then he only wore them twice or something. I asked her if she knew how old they were, and according to her calculations they were bought about 7 years ago. I asked cause I noticed the New Rock logo was different than the ones I've seen and I haven't seen this type of shoes when I've checked out New Rocks. So here are pictures:

As you can see on the official New Rock Store thing they cost a fucking fortune there. So I got it at a pretty awesome price. The original reason why I went to Kolaportið was, as said before, to get myself some ridiculous sunglasses. And here they are:

So I'm super excited about this.. I just preordered KMFDM - Blitz!! I got the bundle so I'll be getting the CD SIGNED by Käpt'n K himself! =D And there's a T-shirt involved. As well as a postcard, poster, pin and a sticker, plus two remix downloads of Davai (Bloody Fog Mix by Assemblage 23) and Bait & Switch (All 4 One Mix by Combichrist) which I already got, of course.

So I filled two black and white films with nomnommy goodness for the eyes and got them developed and went to get the results yesterday. All the pictures I'd taken with the external flash I borrowed from my mum were kind of ruined. One half of the picture was normal, and the other half was just a black abbyss or something XD But that just teaches me that I kind of shouldn't use that flash, I guess.

BUT!! The pictures I DIDN'T use the flash in, came out excellent ^_^ I can't wait to get the colorfilms from developing (I'm going to get them in just a bit) but here are a few of the good pictures I got from mah Canon AE-1, that I by the way adore.

There was a loud riot outside the parliament building here in Reykjavík yesterday. It lasted from around noon till about 3am. Cops were there, and the riot police too, macing everyone and somehow especially aiming at photographers. People brought things to make noise, like pots and pans and things to hit them with. I saw a picture of one guy who brought a whole drumset.

But since I'm so peaceful, I just sat at home and knitted. XD

I'm kind of in the mood to shitsmack the prejudice out of people and teach them the beauty of every single human being. Of course there are people who do horrible things that you MIGHT find something pretty in, but I'm talking about the ones left out. I was youtubing and checking out some Christina Aguilera videos, and stumbled upon the video to Beautiful (an amazing song by the way). And there I saw a comment that just knocked my jaw through the floor and right down to the first floor.

The person simply said; I hate how some people can't accept that gay people offends others. Why are gay people so kept and coddled? Why can't anyone express a negitive thought about gays? It has to go both ways.

I simply replied; It's just that some people don't understand how some people let other people's love offend them.

First off, coddled? Seriously? Yeah. That's probably why people get beat up for their love of someone else, just because that someone else is of the same sex. I've never heard of someone getting beat up, or even worse, killed, 'cause they're straight. Have you? I don't really get why people like spending so much energy on hating something that doesn't really make sense to hate. It's only because people LET the love of the gay, bisexual and (insert all other sexual orientation titles) bother them.

Why can't anyone express a negative thought about gays? JESUS. So this guy's never heard ANYONE say ANYTHING bad about gays? He must live in a fucking Tupperware box for Pete's sake!! It's SIMPLY because it sometimes becomes so violent that, as I said before, people get beat up and are even hospitalized, or die. And it's so ridiculous to be offended by other people's love that my head is spinning and I feel like someone's scrambling my brain and about to deepfry it Q_o

This makes just as much sense as if I was offended by the existence of toast.

Seriously. Make more sense people.

By watching this video and reading the comments, I realized more and more how I would like to teach people how to see that every human being is beautiful in their own way. Maybe I'm just a snotnosed hippie sh*t, but this is how I feel. I'm a peaceloving hippie, and I'm f*cking proud of it.

Learn to love everyone, and you'll feel really good. Seriously. Even the people you can't stand.

And for the love of Blawg, don't be a smartass wiseguy butthole on the internet, it's not funny X_x

I was checking in on my Facebook thingermajig, and I saw the update thingies that usually says what my friends are doing, and one of them had a link in it. I came home about half an hour ago from long 12 hours of school. Even though my feet were killing me and I was seriously hungry, I had fun. We were working with wool after 4pm and I made this beeaaauuuutiful bright pink+blue scarf ^_^

Okay so the other day this guy calls me and goes "Hi. I'm Gunnar. I'll be teaching your bass lessons the next few months cause yer teacher is on sick leave. Call me. Bye." And I was all "Wtf? A few months? That must be more than a cold!"

So I got a little worried. My bass teacher is the most awesome bass teacher man in the world. So. Yesterday I went to my piano lesson thingeh and decided to ask my piano teacher what was going on. So he tells me that Guðjón (my bass teacher) had been complaining about a headache all last winter. That turned out to be a tumor the size of a golf club. A fucking golf club! I was freakin' shocked! But it calmed me a bit down when he told me it was benign.

He had brain surgery the other day, and got to go home last weekend and he even took a walk. It was only about 40 metres but it was still a walk! Improvement, people!

I'm hoping for all the best and I KNOW he'll be okay, cause he's fucking awesome like that.

Today, I was also shocked, to see what I got paid. Holy shit I've never had so much paid for a month's job. But of course, I worked looooads of overtime cause I had to teach all those slow learners since everyone else just quit like that. I'm very happy.

I'm also almost finished knitting my socks. One is finished and I'm just about to finish the second one.

School is awesome.

I finally got my internet connection here.

I love my new school. It's mostly sewing these days, and then there are some knitting & crocheting classes, dietetics & stuff like that. Nom!

After two days, I've finished a pin cushion, started an embroidery project sewing cute little pictures into a duvet cover and a pillowcase, and I've almost finished some babysuit thing.

I never have to eat alone at lunch and we have a little spot for smokers. Yay!
